Best last minute decision for a tour!
We had a 3 day stop in London before heading to Spain and thought that we would just visit London attractions. We decided at the last minute to book a Cotswolds tour and are very glad we did! Andy was our tour guide and covered quite a bit for the time we had. This was a most enjoyable tour and we shall be back for the Secret Cottage one. Ray, California
Wonderful Cotswolds tour! The best way to experience the Cotswolds!
My friend and I recently visited London to celebrate our birthday and visiting the Cotswolds was very high on our list, however, it is difficult to find just the perfect tour. Look No longer! The Cotswolds Mystery Tour is Fantastic! We had a relatively easy train trip to Moreton In Marsh and were met at the train station by Andy, our tour guide for the day. The Cotswolds Mystery tour is run by locals, thus, they have all of the wonderful information about the area, and can take travelers to visit and see the true local flavor of the Cotswolds. Andy was wonderful! We had only 6 in our tour (the maximum for this tour is 7 I believe). We visited wonderful picturesque villages, saw beautiful historic churches and even got to walk a little on the Cotswolds Way! We had a beautiful day with just perfect weather, sunshine and puffy clouds; Andy was able to take us to a little more of the outside splendor of the towns than usually can be done when the weather is inclement. We had lunch at a local pub where I enjoyed a classic Ploughman’s lunch with a Pimms. Delightful! There was even a little time at the end of the day to shop! I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get a taste of the countryside when visiting London.
Next visit, I plan to take the Secret Cottage tour. One of the women on our tour had taken it the day before and raved about the absolutely stunning classic cottage and the wonderful tea and scones! Jeffrey, Illinois
Delighful day in the charming Cotswolds
My husband and I recently took the Mystery Tour of the Cotswolds – what a delight! We loved the fact that the tour was in a small vehicle, which meant that our tour guide, Kate, was able to take us to all sorts of tiny and quaint villages in the Cotswolds, which we felt we would never have been able to access in a coach tour…..we felt that the tour gave us a really authentic experience of this gorgeous area. Kate was very knowledgeable and we also appreciated her kindness and attention to detail, in that my husband was unexpectedly on crutches and Kate made sure that we were as close as possible to the sights to minimise the walking….thank you for our wonderful memories of the Cotswolds! A magical day in the Cotswolds
My wife and I had a unique and wonderful experience during our day in the Cotswolds. Becky, our guide, was amazing. Were constantly surprised by the beauty and history surrounding us. This is an environment which reaches in and touches one’s inner core in a wonderful way. We will be back. Denis & Wanda, Toronto, Canada
Magical day trip from London
We chose Cotswold Mystery Tour looking for a small, intimate excursion through the Cotwolds and it did not disappoint. This trip was a highlight of our London vacation. Becky picked us up at the train station and we were off for a full day, with just the right mix of time driving through the countryside, ability to roam around villages and even a little shopping at the end of the day. Becky’s knowledge of the area and her warm personality make her the perfect host for this tour. We were delighted to find this unspoiled area to visit – so beautiful and quaint – just like in the movies. Rob, Oklahoma
The highlight of our trip to London
My husband and I took a trip to London and Paris for our 20th anniversary. At the end of the trip, we agreed that this day in the Cotswolds was our favourite part. The Cotswold villages are like something straight out of a fairy tale, and being fans of British murder mysteries like Midsomer Murders and Inspector Morse, we were thrilled to see British countryside that looked just like it does in the shows. Our guide, Andy, was very knowledgeable and personable and we enjoyed the company of two other couples from Australia who joined us on the tour. I would highly recommend taking this tour if you are in the area or in London–it was a very convenient day trip on the train and a nice change of pace from the city. We hope to return and take the Secret Cottage tour! Judy
